The Greater Rochester Health Foundation’s Community Event Fund is our way of supporting organizations in the region through sponsorship of fundraising and other events. We receive numerous requests throughout the year to sponsor a wide range of events, and we usually consider funding one event per organization per calendar year. The Foundation considers an eligible event as an event to support the ongoing mission of a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission and/or event activities that align with our mission and values.

To ensure that all requests are reviewed and considered, all requests must be formally submitted to GRHF using the online Event Sponsorship Form and meet the eligibility criteria. No telephone requests or mass mailings/emails will be considered. You will be notified of our decision via email within four weeks of your request.  Requests should be submitted with enough time prior to the event to give us time to consider and reply.  Submission of a request does not guarantee funding.

Please note, if your event does not have the option of choosing sponsorship levels, it is imperative that you justify the amount of money you are requesting for your organization. 

 Examples of categories that will be considered for funding include:

  • Annual dinners and galas
  • Golf tournaments
  • Trivia nights
  • Fun runs
  • Luncheons
  • Events associated with raising awareness of community health needs/issues

Examples of categories that will not be considered for funding include:

  • Trainings for staff
  • Capital campaigns
  • Health fairs/screenings

 Ineligible Applicants:

  • Government entities (including city, state, and local)
  • Political groups and/or organizations (e.g., individuals running for office, political parties)
