Future Leadership of Health Foundation to Draw on Success of Past

At the end of July 2018, John Urban officially retired as President and CEO of the Health Foundation. While the Board of Directors is currently conducting a national search for his successor, Dennis Richardson has stepped in to serve as interim leader. Dennis brings 12 years of experience with the Health Foundation’s Board of Directors, including serving as board chair from 2016 through his appointment as interim CEO.

The future president and CEO of the Health Foundation will bring a depth of experience in supporting public health as well as an appreciation of the health concerns in the Greater Rochester region. The vision for the Health Foundation’s future is built solidly on our past successes, and the Board of Directors is deeply thankful to John for his leadership over the past 12 years.

“The impact the Health Foundation has been able to achieve over the past decade reflects the commitment John has brought to the organization, our grantees and community health overall,” Dennis said. “John’s vision, business acumen, and commitment to evidence-based programming have been a powerful combination, enabling us to help create real change across the Greater Rochester region.”
