Organizations applying for funding from a grant-making organization are sometimes required to have matching dollars or in-kind contributions as a condition of their funding. The Health Foundation will consider providing matching funds for activities consistent with our areas of focus and that meet our other funding criteria.

Since our inception we have helped grantees secure matching funds of $25 million. Some examples of the range of matching funds include Project Hope, a Neighborhood Health Status Improvement Initiative grantee secured a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Roadmaps to Health community grant of $184,500. The University of Rochester Medical Center’s Rochester Primary Care Adolescent Immunization Program received an additional $2,500,000 from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. Other examples of matching funds may be found in the grantee descriptions.
